My Favorite Things....

Rx Bambi at a Day in the Life....tagged me, waaay back in the day, to list some of my favorite things. If you guys haven't read her blog - you totally have to do so! She has this pharmacy Friday segment where she answers all our questions about drugs. Now although she doesn't explicitly SAY SO, and sometimes says exactly the opposite, I believe that by consulting her blog, it's just as good as if I actually saw a real doctor. I mean, I'm not STUPID, I totally consult WedMD and put in all my symptoms first -- DOOY -- Or, alternatively, I watch TV and find a commercial where people look smiling and happy. Obviously, I gots to get me some of that drug PRONTO!

Back to my task. Naturally, I didn't do my homework (because I'm lazy like that) and now am forced to throw something together half-assedly and the pretend like I've been working on it for WEEKS. As such, I would appreciate just a little bit of courtesy from you all wherein you do not bring up the fact that I totally made all this shit up on the fly.

That's just how I roll.

So here we go:

Favorite Films (or, films I could think of while I wrote this)
  • Anchorman
  • Elf
  • Mama Mia (you heard me...MAMA F'N MIA!)
  • Blazing Saddles
  • A Christmas Story
Favorite Songs
Rx Bambi didn't have to do this - so I'm not doing it either!!! Let me just tell you, however, I ADORE Abba (I think we established that above), Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel and Cheap Trick. I will also admit to loving teeny-bopper music: Brittney, Justin Timberlake, Hannah Montana... I gots a lotta crap on my iPod, a lot of which I should really be mocked for.....but don't you judge me! You don't have to listen to it!! It's Josh who actually deserves your pity here people.....

Favorite Music to Listen When...
  • I'm exercising: I don't exercise! What kinda crap is this!?! DID JOSH PUT YOU UP TO THIS!?!?
  • I'm cooking: Whatever is handy. I'm too lazy to go get something special
  • I'm lounging: Frank Sinatra or Neil Diamond
  • I'm by the pool: Whatever someone else puts on - there is NO WAY I am getting out of the pool in my suit! I'll suffer through whatever is on, but will probably bitch about it all the same.
Favorite Crushes
  • Husband - (there was peer pressure to put him first - tee hee) but I SUPPOSE it is accurate
  • Edward Cullen (Twilight) - He totally loves ME and not stupid Liz
  • Stephen Colbert
  • Bill Nye the Science Guy
  • Daniel Craig
Favorite Books
  • Twilight
  • Bright Lights, Big Ass
  • Pride and Prejudice
  • Marley and Me
  • The Caliph's House

Random Favorite Things
  • Two days off in a row where nobody calls you to ask you stupid questions
  • Scuba Diving
  • Little Debbie
  • Camping
  • Kernel & Poods (I really miss my babies!)
Now I'm supposed to tag some others - but I'm not going to do it!!! Because then I'd have to link their blogs, then tell them I tagged them (and then immediately run away in case they get all uppity that they were tagged) and then I'd have to lecture them about due dates and no cheating, and showing their work...you know. It's just a lot more work for me.

Don't you think I've done enough here?!?! My GOD MAN!

I give, and I give, and I give!!!

So now on my 3rd comment I will really comment. I thought I was the only adult who actually liked one of Hannah/Miley songs. I love Justin, and the old crooners too. Dang we might actually have some chit in common. But then I wonder which Michel I am actually talking to right now...then scatch my head and naw....lol

I don't follow rules either, somebody has to color out the lines!!!

Mamma Mia was such a fun film, that's for sure . . . I love ABBA, too. Dancing Queen is the bomb.

I am totally Team Jacob, so I'm not feeling the Edward love.

I know every word to every Hannah Montana song - the hazards of having a nine year old daughter. I went to the concert in January of 2008, in a limo. I cried the whole time, though, because my grandma had just died that Christmas, so I was not happy. My daughter kept petting my hair and telling it was going to be okay. I just wish Miley Cyrus would quit acting so slutty out in the real world - our little girls are getting confused.

I didn't tell anyone that they got an award :-0 I figured that they could find it themselves!!! Way more fun.

Hanna Montana??? Really can't dig it or Otin's Cash country music.

How are the boxes? We could use a new box a day picture. Take a pic of what is in a box for us each day like christmas.

Actually, I thought Mama Mia was awesome! So was the case of wine we downed while watching it. When I watched it sober it didn't have quite the same effect.

Ok so this is totally out of line I think but a friend and I were discussing what it would be like to have sex with Edward. He's cold, and he's hard. I'm sorry but all I can picture is a marble pestle -- you know the things pharmacists grind with -- hahaha hows that for a pun??! - I think Otin would be proud!!

Abba? Really? And Frank Sinatra? Oh, I forgot, the embassies are in a time warp, right?

Wow. Really do feel sorry for Josh having to listen to that crap.
Speechless.

Well, at least we have SOME music in common (Sinatra and Abba), not so much on the other stuff but I'm proud of you for putting Josh first!

If I had to guess your age, depending only on your answers, I would say that you were between 13 and 68 lmfao!

Seriously, Dude. I can't deal with you reading Twilight. Don't bring that shit up again. It's so weird.

And Abba? You were kidding, right? That conjures up pictures of me wearing a sateen jacket with an applique of roller skates on the back, and shiny white skates with poofy pom pons on them, while skating with a sweaty-handed boy to 'Dancing Queen.'

There. That should you cure you of any desire to hear Abba again. I did you a favor.

I knew there was something special about you...Blazing Saddles!!! You rock! I'm also with you on whatever is handy on the rare times I cook. Little Debbie's, some are okay, but my favorites are Hostess... Have a great day!

You got Elf and Anchorman, where is Taladega Nights, and all Will's other films? Mama-Mia is hands down an amazing movie. . . I bought the Abba soundtrack on CD and have totally worn it out!

Frank Sinatra is amazing and I love Billy Joel and Cheap Trick. However, I have to draw the line with Neil Diamond. His voice just doesn't do it for me. . .however, he is an amazing entertainer and talented!

So, there. . . .

Wow, I really feel like I don't know who you are now -- and the fact that you are supremely deep is really, um, disconcerting to me. I mean, I thought we were like the shallow sisters and now come to find out you're into Sinatra and Neil Diamond? That's a cheap trick. Next thing you're going to tell me, you're in love with Manilow.

Are you? For reals.

See, I already knew you were a nerd, so I'm fine with that.
I don't get the Twilight thing, but that's prob'ly because I refuse to watch it. It's kind of like Thelma & Louise, A River Runs Through It, The Horse Whisperer... and I'm sure there are others, that were SO over hyped. I just can't bring myself to watch them. Still haven't.
I have, however, seen Field of Dreams about 50 times, though...so go figure.
:)

Does your boss have unlimited little debbies thrown around the office to keep you there late?? Does he know that you would do anything for chocolate??? You might want to keep that a secret.

Your music choices are mine too. Love 'em. But when I am cooking (which isn't often) I am very picky about what I listen to. The wrong music can ruin my meal.*

*Totally lying. It's my inability to cook.
