It's Like Damn Crop Circles

WTF SUDAN!?

Every time I turn around, another damn pile of dirt crops up in random places around here. As if it is not bad enough that they are remodeling the houses here (you know, installing asbestos, adding dirt piles to the rooftops so that there is always a gentle breeze of dirt billowing about you as you leave your residence, so as to ensure that your clothes will always be that attractive blend of orange-khaki indigenous to Sudan...) they are also piling their supplies all over the place.

It's like living on the set of Sanford and Son!!

The dogs have given up trying to work around them and have just decided to sleep directly on the piles. (My new ghetto babies are resourceful.)

YOU KNOW.... when I signed up for this gig as a foreign service officer, I was told that it would be glamorous, you'd get to hobknob (no Josh, that does NOT mean what you think it does) with the foreign elite, you'd be invited to the best parties and would be able to throw out baseless accusations with ease (because you know that is my thing....RIGHT?)

Oh Sudan...why must you continually shatter all my dreams?

However, just when I think I'm going to freak out and demand to go back home, I walk outside and find this.

HOW CUTE IS THAT LITTLE GUY?

I'm not sure why you guys continue to overreact like that...It's all good!

Ok... I am back. What is with the dirt? Is it camouflage like I was guessing last night? In the spring, I mulch, plant and breath in all kinds of yuck. I hate the stuff that comes out when I blow my noise. Yes - I knew this would gross you out. But..

I decided to type it anyway. The doggies are just adorable. Did anyone get them fixed? A small posse of doggies is cute.... but like bunnies they make more.

Is he just trying to distract you so the rest of his pack can surround and devour you?

oh my God, all those abandoned dogs, i could cry. Oh and yeah and I'm sorry for your sand problem, but back to the dogs, that is just heartbreaking...

I just have one question: what the hell is all the dirt for??
Okay, I have two: Why the roof? and how do they get it up there?
Okay, that's technically three...
but I agree with you - WTF??

Are you sure they aren't importing dogs in those big piles of dirt and sand? I think it looks like the dogs are actually coming out of those piles?

And if they can smuggle in dogs like that, maybe you could get them to smuggle in Little Debbie's the same way?

And Adderall?

And Josh.

Maybe they are space alien dogs! The dirt is the waste from the crafts, and the dogs grow out of the waste like maggots do on garbage! Watch out for those ET pooches! HA!

mmm....crop circles. . . good analogy. I'm thinking you are on to something! You know I just read an article in the National Enquirer about different types of landscaping, left my aliens.

In countries where crops expand for acres, Aliens leave their gang symbols in the shape of crop circles. However, in desertland countries, where their is much dirt, there is a giant alien Vacuum that sucks dirt from the desert and brings it to peoples yards and roofs.

The people who dig through the dirt, usually find at least one $1,000,000,000 bill in that pile. It's a sign of goodwill and peace to all who live it the dry places.

Let me know what you find, when you get to the bottom of those piles! LOL

It's just like the piles of snow left around willy nilly in the winter here.

OMG! How cute. If not for animals to give us joy, it would be a very sad world!

Good thing you weren't sent to the foreign office in Siberia. That just might suck a little more.

Kinda surreal and what's he trying to say.... hey baby wanna good time????
Dirt on the roof is probably some way of camouflage against Google Earth, that way the Sudan will really look like a pile of shit from Space.
Hang in there... I'm sure the tax break is worth it.

I love that the dogs instinctively know where the love is. Chez Michel.

I find it odd that dirty just appears on the roof. You don't think the dogs are doing it just to mess with you, do you?

Amanda said...

Does the dirt BLOW onto the roof and then they pile it up to move it away?
